Alexander Mengden

I'm an economist working on global tax policy at the Tax Foundation, where I focus on major policy publications, reform guides, and the development of economic modelling tools. My work on tax policy has been quoted in leading international media outlets like Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, Financial Times, and Euronews.

Before that, I worked on economic policy in other think tanks and tutored undergraduate courses in public finance at LMU Munich. I hold an MSc in Economics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a BA in  Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth. My research interests lie in the areas of public economics, urban economics, and industrial organisation.
